COMMON QUESTIONS

Are your classes in a series or individual classes?
We have found students prefer individual classes, which fit todays busy lifetsyle. Depending on the material, on occasion we run a series.

What do I need to bring?
The class description will indicate if you need to bring supplies, otherwise you only need a pen to take notes if you want. Your class fee covers all supplies.

Do we get to eat?
Yes, you get to taste everything we make in class. We want you to learn new tastes and develop your palate.

I want to come to class, but feel uncomfortable coming alone. Do others come alone?
All the time! We pride ourselves on our warm, friendly and relaxed atmostphere at the school. You will meet alot of nice people at class. You will not feel uncomfortable: we promise!

Do men come to cooking class?

We often have men at each class.

Do I need to have alot of cooking experience to come to the hands on classes?
No, you do not. Hands on classes are designed for most levels of cooking experience. More advanced classes will denote if a class requires previous skills such as knife skills.

What should I wear to hands on classes?
You may dress casual with comfortable shoes. We provide aprons for your use.

What if I can't make the class I've signed up for?
If you cannot attend class, we do require that you call a full 48 hours before and we will give you credit for a future class, or you may send a friend in your place. If you cancel after this time or miss a class, we regret that we cannot give you a refund or credit. We purchase food, buy supplies, and schedule the needed staff based on our enrollment. You will however be mailed the class handout with recipes.

Can I bring my young child to class with me if they are well behaved?
We regret that we do not allow children in class.

My child loves to cook. Do you offer childrens classes?
If your child is interested in cooking, we offer Junior Chefs classes in the summer. If your child is older than 12, they can attend any class they are interested in. They do not need to attend only childrens classes. We have some serious young chefs out there and often they want to come to classes that are more advanced.
